CAN OF WORMS !!!

what colour is your car ? I’d recommend trying a glaze first, these are oil/filler heavy products that are applied by hand and are simple to use with great results, they basically fill the swirls with product taking your eye/sun off the sharp edges of the swirls, they are a short term fix that eventually wash out, but there is no reason why you can’t apply after every wash
Machine polishing is a permanent fix, but only until the next bad wash, and mud gets washed back across the car through pads and sponges causing reswirling

I’ve been into detailing and paint correction for years and it’s a mine field, spending a lot of money on training and equipment , if you was closer I’d lend you a machine and some instruction, if it’s really something you wanted to do maybe borrow a machine from someone closer ?
Please don’t find someone from Facebook or similar that “I’ll do it for 50 quid mate” I’ve heard horror stories because of instant detailers popping up everywhere Instagram; @gavin_walding

Thanks Gav. I have a price to sort it at £350 for the full vehicle to be machine polished and ceramic coated at a localish retailer who has done a great job on few defenders. However, given the fact that we’re all isolating for the time being I thought I might give it ago. That being said, I can see it being a bit like plastering; the pros make it look like the easiest job in the world. The amateurs make the pro’s worth their money!
