Order cancelled due to the current situation...
I wonder how many more will [have to?] follow ? I fear that the very LAST thing on most peoples minds over the next 12/18 months, is buying a new vehicle - and the appropriateness or otherwise of the New Defender may well become totally irrelevant . |

Can I ask is it a financial decision or maybe just based on the fact that you don't think you will be doing many miles in the near future?

Various reasons:- a) Financial - where will any of us be in a few months ? and I reckon we are all in big trouble for a year at least. b) As I said, there are likely to be far more important things for us to need to spend money on .. c) swanning around in a new vehicle will not look good with clients and others who are suffering from this current mess. d) I very much doubt, now, whether JLR will be able to produce and ship many cars at all for the foreseeable.. .. I could go on. |

Seems logical to me. Also if the economy is as screwed as predicted there will be big discounts to be had. WARNING.

I’ll be sticking with mine for the time being, it’s not due until January so I have time yet.

You might be getting a phone call very soon "Good news Sir, I've been able to pull your order forward a little...how much...it's sat on showroom floor now".

As a complete knock down kit - would sir be supplying his own tools or would you like to take out an extra finance package for the Halfords socket set with a Land Rover badge on it.... |

Dealers can choose when they’d like orders to arrive, I’ve selected January, it’s 100% guaranteed I won’t take delivery before then |

i am sticking with the purchase, our current daily drive is over 9 years old, I do suspect however
as production has been shutdown for a minimum of 3 weeks, and no manufacturing slots had been confirmed for the Australian customers, the August delivery projections for Oz will likely slip out until later in the year or even earlier next. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Got the call from the dealer today, based upon the manufacturing plant opening up on the
25th April ( LR contingency date), my build slot is the 19th June, with ETA at the dealers in Sydney the 4th September. So far the dealer as had no order cancellations for the L663 which is surprising in the current climate, but have seen cancellations for Rangie Sports. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |
