With the rake on the 'screen, I'd be tempted just to roll it down the screen, over the bonnet, and off the front. Then get the kids to go fetch.

...or just leave it there as a warning to others... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

There was a photo in the Namibia series on twitter/Facebook showing a couple of kids playing with a tyre... looked but couldn't find it... but you might not be far off the mark there! |

My local dealer (Christchurch) still haven’t got one in the showroom despite saying that they will have one in March. Went in yesterday and no acknowledgment from front desk staff or salesman so I walked out. Yet the man who turned up in a Bentley bentayga had the staff attention immediately. I’ll try another dealer I think

Had the same experience twice in Munich (trying to buy a Puma) so found a dealer up north with staff that didn't have their heads up their own a*se* Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Journalists test drives are embargoed until the 25th March so perhaps dealer stock will arrive after that. |

I've just seen my first one in the flesh, driving out of Tesco Blandford car park as I was driving in. I was staring at this black and silver thing, thinking how much it looked like something out of a paint-by-numbers book, for some time before it dawned on me what it was. Apart from the gauche paint job, I was struck by how incredibly unremarkable and un-noticeable it is. It really doesn't stand out from the crowd, unlike the old one. I'm sure it's nice inside, but my goodness it's bland from the outside.
Very disappointing in my opinion. |

Indeed. ^^^^
One of the reasons I like the Defender we know of and the Wranger and other similar makes. They aren't just a "car" like many out there, some are so boring I couldn't imagine having one. It's no wonder many are in disrepair seeing as they are so boring and bland, owners probably have zero interest in them except for use as a mode of transport. The new one reminds me of a Disco 5 / Evoke / FL 2 love child. I have always liked the whole Defender range until 2016 and the D4 is very very nice. LR had things so right, possibly at the pinnacle of desirability and for price too. Then they started this Evoke style front end scheme for the whole range, now these days I find none appealing at all. Not to mention their distancing from their core buyers and brand followers like many of us are / were The NFU tv advert is much the same, not true to its core. I think some of you follow my drift in what I'm getting at. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
