Welcome to D2N, Matilda looks great! Glad to see you've kept the white roof and stripe! Some nice mods too!
As for remap, I have BAS170 and very pleased with it. But for TD5 I'd speak with Jose at TD5 Inside!! Or Gareth at Empire Tuning is also very good and more local. Thanks for the kind comment! I’d love a Td5inside map but have heard that he can be hard to get hold of unless you are an existing customer, empire seem very good and are much more local so I think I’ll probably end up going with him. The only problem is how it would affect my insurance, only 19 you see! I personally like the stripes however the roof paint is starting to lift and I’m stuck between repainting it white again or going body coloured at the same time as the arches? |

You're right about Jose, because he's good he's busy. John Brook at Cult4x4 at Framlingham used to do TD5Inside "clinics" once in a while.
However, in case of future problems I'd go with Gareth as he's a really nice chap and really knows his stuff!! Insurance could be a problem. I'm much older so different but remap only added ÂŁ30 with forum sponsor A-Plan. Personally, I'd go white roof and paint rims white!! But bold choice!! I’m with aviva and they have been fantastic, they haven’t charged me any admin fees for adding modifications, all declared!, and it hasn’t changed my premium at all! I think Empire is the way to go then! Not sure about what they’d say though insurance wise like you said age will be an issue. I’d love to have anthracite wheels but until the paint gets bad on these I won’t be changing the colour.
A set of limestone or white bowlers or blindo’s and painting the windscreen surround a matching colour would be a cool colour combo but I couldn’t justify white wheels with it being used when I work in the summer, they would just look dirty all the time! |

Welcome to the forum Matilda
Nice looking 90 there The white roof looks good but if you have to paint it, i would paint it the same colour of the rims, black and blue go well together I also think the decals should stay and she has a good stance in your pic's 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

Thanks Clayton!
Yeah I like the white roof too, black would be the easy option but there are so many with gloss black roofs I don’t know I would regret it? She does have a good stance , although it still sits too high at the rear so I am looking at Alives set of suspension -1” front and -1.5” rears with bilsteins. Not quite as cool and purposeful as your truck though |
