2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Cairns Blue

Lt77 What oil please?

So when we rebuilt our 200tdi 90 we put EP90 in the gear box.

I now understand we would have been better to put in ATF in it, is that right?

We only did 500 miles in it, last year, but it was difficult to get into 5th gear.

Any advice very welcome.

Yip ATF, on the understanding that the tolerances are much finer in these gearboxs, than of old,,= gear oil ,

ATF as Ashcrofts recomend. You can use Redline MTL and a few others.

I'm sure it's hard to get into 5th !

EP90 would be ok in the LT230
