If it helps, I've just checked on my cheapo diagnostic tool and I've got fault code P2122, which is the throttle position sensor voltage low (there's post about this already but that chap had a cruise control fault... I don't have that!)

In that other case I would guess that the 3rd party cruise system (which emulates a pedal) caused the throttle pedal fault.
It might be an early sign of a pedal sensor failing, but check the wiring at the pedal for cuts/damage. If it reoccurs swap out the pedal to an known good one (all Puma pedals are the same for 2.4, 2.2 and DSC 2.2). 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Thanks Martin. I'll have a good look at that. Possibly a squirt of something WD40ish (Bilt Hamber's Ferrosol) might help.
It's actually in for its MoT and service tomorrow anyway, so I'll mention it to them. |
