Stowable Rear Seats - Removing Mounting Brackets?
Quick introduction, just bought my Defender, a 2009 90 XS CSW, Santorini Black. Had a 2007 90 XS a few years back and regretted selling it ever since. Really pleased with this one, it has 58k miles and a few modifications already fitted - Twisted wheels and Recaro Sportster seats being the main ones.

Going through a few jobs I’d like to do, one of which is to have the slightly rusty stowable rear seat body mounts stripped & powder coated. Everything pretty much removed but I’m struggling to separate the last bracket from the seat, per the photo - it won’t budge, the bracket will not slide off the shaft. The only thing I can think of is to somehow extract the central threaded shaft, this has a flat on one side, so I’m wondering if this is designed to ‘unscrew’ somehow?

Any pointers much appreciated Thumbs Up

For anyone else needing to do this in the future, the end bracket on the threaded shaft (the part with the arm that the spring hooks into) is pressed on with a tight interference fit and with some persuasion does pull off, taking all the other components with it.
