Finished the hard standing for the new workshop yesterday. I had started it for something else but convinced the misses that I had to have another workshop. We're in agreement that once the work on the Defenders is completed, I'll turn it into an area for BBQs etc. (I didn't specify how many Defenders!)
ARB Compressor turned up today. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

So, I got stuck in mud twice in one week!
On the the second occasion I snapped the link for the transfer box operating arm. Click image to enlarge The way I see it I have two choices... No#1 need new boots, air locker and winch. ( that's what I'm telling the misses!) No#2 replace part from other block |

New boots it is I reckon but think I'll fit a twin battery set up before a winch is purchased. Yesterday was spent fixing the hi-low transfer operating rod that snapped at the yoke.
Out with the seats... Click image to enlarge Tunnel off. Note the position of the link! Totally off!... Click image to enlarge Here's the snapped part next to the one I nicked off the other 300tdi. Click image to enlarge Switched round, greased up ready to be connected. Then fitted, test drive and happy days. Click image to enlarge While I had access, I fitted the slick shift I bought from Mdm here on the forum. Dead quick and easy to do and Holy S*** what an upgrade! I'll be fitting one to any other Defenders I find in my ownership. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The rest of the day was spent sorting some electrical gremlins out. Today I'll tackle changing all discs and pads and anything else I can fit in. |

Pads and discs were fine so no need to replace them, no worries cause they'll go on the black 110. I took the time to get some soundproofing in and fit the ARB compressor in place, I'm not going to connect it up till I've put the twin battery setup in.

Twin battery setup ordered today and... new boots! I'm going from 235/85R16 to 285/75R16 (Goodrich All Terrains) . Before I put them on I'll be painting the wheels satin black. Before and after pics to follow.
