Try drawing a small volume out with something like a syringe to see what colour it actually is. I've noticed that pink OAT coolant can look a strange, almost brown, colour when it has a black background, such as a radiator hose. Charlie

Looks like a Tdi fuel pump in the background, so the coolant should be blue/green in colour for ethylene glycol coolant not the rusty brown colour.
A system flush and refill seems like a good idea. Then keep an eye on it. It may just be that the old coolant is exhausted and overdue for a change as this type only has a service life of 2-3 years. |

When did you last change it? That looks rancid... get it out of there asap.

I’ve never changed it in the time I’ve had it (3 years). I’m going to sort it out this weekend. Interestingly the engine stills runs at the correct temperature but I’ll definitely flush it. Instagram.com/mattbuckley19
