I generally enjoy any car related program...

Even more so with Landrovers

Fuzz is ok but the other guy.....

Not pleasant to watch which was a shame, he loves the sound of his own voice too much and thinks he's funny.

Just saw the second part of this, what was a real crime IMO was that this was one of the nicest unmolested S2’s I have seen, ok there was a little bit of rot in the bottom of the footwell and various oil leaks but nothing which could not be fixed easily.
Fuzz commented on the chassis being rusty, from what I could see it was just surface rust which would have been easily treated. I noticed in one shot a guy attacking one of the spring shackle bolts with an angle grinder, it didn’t look even remotely rusty and would no doubt come undone with a squirt of plus gas and a socket.
I hope the owner was happy with what they did which was erase the history of this fine vehicle. Unfortunately they have to make a drama out of it for television. It had a lovely Solihull number as well, I would have been very happy to have the original unmolested vehicle in my garage.

Couldn't agree more Defender9.

When I sold my SI to a TV channel, they erased a rather unique history and just created another glossy green Series One.

I believe Mr Kahn bought it - which speaks volumes. Whistle

I hope the children asked their father exactly how he intended to restore it, before handing it over to the television people.

I don't watch telly, but I have seen the car sos, and I think they do a good job for the cause. But I do wonder how far they go with restores.

I remember reading about, wheeler dealers, picking up a 205, which blew its engine, edd china said it was the gearlinkage lol. Turned out that the car had to have another engine in it, and then again that engine wasn't all that either. Apparently some one on the 205 owners club, Knew someone who had bought it, and the car was a right old shed. I am not sure if the 205 was dismantled and parted off in the end.

You cannot beat mark evans though for his builds! I dont think the MGB is about now sadly. That looks like it was mothballed back in 2009. The kit car thing is still going though. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
