That is ex military - also not the indicator and side lights are vertical - on civilian spec they are horizontal. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

Must be an earlier variant as that looks very different to the version I had on a Series III Lightweight.

There were several different versions over the years but those fitted to lightweights were distinct anyway as they matched the lightweight bumper. Or in the bottom of my chest of drawers! I have an embarrassing pic of myself in bell-bottom jeans standing on the tailgate of my Series One. Not suitable viewing for millenial snowflakes - or anyone of a sensitive disposition! |

Sorry can't get enthusiastic about double bumpers. Now bell bottoms, flares and deep waist bands are something else, I would spend part of my apprentice wages buying made to measure suits . Worked a Sunday for double bubble but had Saturday off so I could go out on a Friday night. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

^^^ And they've managed to do it in a way that looks strange, stupid, and utterly pointless!

You were lucky!!!! No show on the Saturday where I worked meant you were not welcome on the Sunday - unless you had something really pressing like your wedding Luckily, I cannot remember any of the above, but I do remember very itchy scratchy trousers in the 70's. As a child I complained bitterly but was made to feel like it was in my imagination. It took 35 years before I found a fellow child of the 70's forced to wear these horrible trousers with a similar scared memory. |

Apprentices at ICI (union agreement ) were not allowed to work more than six straight days, a non E.U.early for working time directive. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |
