My favourite pair of leather Hunter Balmoral welly boots have lost a heel , I’ve had these a good 8-9 years and then have stood me in good stead ( no pun intended) but the incessant rain and quagmire conditions have taken its toll.
Can anyone recommend a decent old fashioned cobbler that could re- heel or if needed re-sole then I did , foolishly , go into Timpsons where the lad behind the counter looked blankly at me and said “ you need to stop walking in the mud mate ! “ I’ve looked on line for replacement heels but try didn’t seem to have a good right up ! Any help is appreciated Greg Click image to enlarge |

I think that boot has a vibram sole. A decent cobbler should be able to replace it. WARNING.

I know some of the better boot manufacturers offer a resole option, always works out a lot cheaper than buying new and you know it’s being done by the people who know the boot, might be worth looking into. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Used to be a place in Kent but I can’t find details. They repaired my leather riding boots when I pulled sole from boot.
Original Cobblers in Orpington look to provide a similar service but haven’t used them. |
