Scotty, I don't mind doing new ones because washing/drying and rust converting treatments are not needed (although it is possible and necessary to do a few little touch up on rusty bits even when new as it would dry in time!). If you can get it down to me on a dry day I can do it for you and can also go through the other areas and treatments that would be advisable to do. Again whilst you are here I can do most of those but for the window sealing - it would better to ask your local window fitter to seal your windows thumbsup:
Will send you a pm later ![]() |

I would love to it, new ones are not a problem as you can do them on the spot but older ones would need cleaning, drying, degreasing and rust treating first. The problem is that a chassis can take a week to dry out inside even on hot summer days. They guys like Gigglepin send them away for 4/5 days to be hot steam cleaned, dried out with blowers over a couple of days then treated with Dinitrol. They charge about £800... New ones I can do no problem ![]() Yes to properly go through a new one would be a pleasure, inside nuts/bolts, seat frames, catches etc etc. I can even detail the engine bay area whilst it's in to make it clean and shiny, doesn't take a minute - you can guess I used to enter classic cars in for Concourse De Elegance events - love it ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() Would be interested to see how much you'd charge to sort the underside of my DC, Zag.....we're saving hard to move house now, so been told I need to watch the pennies, but it would be worth doing sooner rather than later, I reckon! Mark 2011 110 XS DC Stornoway Grey |

PM sent
![]() I use mine probably every other day as I still use my 109 Series but it's all local stuff - school runs and town are less than a mile away... Not good for the engine so it gets a longer run every now and then ![]() |
