Bulkhead light mounting solution.
I'm not sure how long these have been around?

Possibly a while, but I haven't taken any notice.

I'm not sure if they are my cup of tea, but maybe useful for floodlighting to the side of the wings.
An otherwise dark area, with no lighting.

It would have been better if they were Galv or Stainless.

Might be interesting to others, price is very reasonable indeed so I thought it would share.

A modern twist on an old solution.
I made some for my S111 SWB V8 back in the 1980's and found them so useful when off-roading at night that I made a pair for my 101FC a few years later. Kept them when I sold the vehicles and still have them kicking around somewhere in the back of the workshop.

When off-roading at night bumper mounted lights are (like headlights) prone to getting covered in mud. Roof mounted lights tend to create glare off the bonnet and get caught on low branches (talking filament lamps here which are taller than modern LED light-bars) whereas pillar mounted lights are generally perfectly positioned to avoid these problems.

Back in the day I used a pair of Lucas steerable flood-lamps as they gave the best spread of light and were suitably robust to shrug off most damage. ONE LIFE, GET IT!

Very true, I'm not sure where the wiring is supposed to route from there either, I would be a bit concerned about it rubbing on paint.

How does this height lighting come off regarding legalities in this location?
I can't see how beneficial the extra light could be to that extent with a relatively small sized lighting fixture in that location.

I did however find 'X Clamps' useful on my tubular bumper as a lighting mount, but that's a whole different product.
This item would have been much better if it was corrosion resistant too. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

Off-road monkeys do a much nicer looking product but I can't help but think they are a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. WARNING.

"but I can't help but think they are a solution to a problem that doesn't exist"

Certainly the problem exists but it depends on your personal use of the vehicle whether it affects you.
It was an issue for me back in the 80's & 90's when I did a lot of night-time green-laning / off-roading hence why I made brackets to fit lights in these very positions. More recently I thought about mounting lights in the same position on my 90 but it occurred to me that as I don't off-road at night anymore that they would be a waste of effort. ONE LIFE, GET IT!
