Alarm BBS sounding
The BBS decided to sound when I started my 2015 TDCi today, a couple of minutes after I opened the vehicle up. It sounded for about 30 seconds then stopped and started again after ten seconds. The lights weren't flashing and there were no unusual lights on the dash.

It wouldn't turn off by locking or unlocking the vehicle with the fob, so I disconnected it from the loom and after 3 or four minutes it stopped suddenly. The vehicle started and drove as normal.

There was no sign of any interference to the vehicle and I have never had any issues before. Any thoughts as to what may have caused this, and are there any tests I can do?

Sounds like a low battery. The stress of starting has taken it below the threshold at which the BBS cuts in. Darren

As above - have experienced the same when starting in VERY cold conditions, or when the battery hasn't been properly charged.

Put it on charge with a good quality regenerative charger (CTEK et al) or take it for a good long run, then see if you still get the problem. If you do - new battery time Sad

I had the same with my 2013 defender after about 2 1/2 years, the only real solution was to replace the original Land Rover battery with a new one. Since I replaced it, the problem hasn't reoccurred.
