As above - have experienced the same when starting in VERY cold conditions, or when the battery hasn't been properly charged.
Put it on charge with a good quality regenerative charger (CTEK et al) or take it for a good long run, then see if you still get the problem. If you do - new battery time |

I had the same with my 2013 defender after about 2 1/2 years, the only real solution was to replace the original Land Rover battery with a new one. Since I replaced it, the problem hasn't reoccurred.
