Shetland - anyone been with their LR?
Hi,

I did a search to see if anyone had been on an 'Exped' to Shetland, but found nothing. I've been several times with work or diving, but either flying in, or stuck on a boat.

This year we're considering a longer trip, but just wondered if anyone had any experience, thoughts or suggestions?

Happy to get any replies by PM if you'd rather not share stuff too publicly? That's not to diss anyone here, just that google could find any suggestions, and before you know it, that lovely quiet spot has become a 'tripadvisor must-see'!

I'm sure that there was somebody on here in the last week or so from the Shetland Land Rover Club. Darren

Ha! Thanks Darren, that was a pretty obvious 'google' that hadn't occurred to me. I'll ping them an email. Donald

Didn't know you could do that either! Every day's a school day. Thanks Clayton. That's me with a couple of leads now. Donald

United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red
I lived on Unst for a couple of years and would recommend a visit to the Hermaness nature reserve - its a massive gannet colony and had some great skewars and artic terns as well as puffins when I was there.
The views of the Muckle Flugga light house are great too.

I had a landrover provided as a company car at the time - a S2a RAF crash ambulance - which I used all over the island when on duty and on call.
