Not a massive difference really. Stt hasmore robust sidewalls, km2 is quieter on the road. I have stt on the landcruiser and the tread is more aggressive than the km2 and the compound is harder. I prefer the stt and it's better value too I think

The BFG certainly are quite expensive and as far as the mileage goes i only do around 10,000 a year

Have a set of km2s on the 90 very impressed with the road manners for a mud tyre, fairly quite too.

I'm also starting to like the KM2's sidewall lugs which seems to be slightly lacking on the STT's

IM RUNNING KM2 S ON MY PUMA, I OFF ROAD 2-3TIMES A MONTH , I ALSO DO QUITE A BIT ON THE MOTORWAY SOMETIMES TOWING BIG TRAILERS,
MY PREVIOUS TYRES WERE STT,S I LIKE THEM BOTH, THE NOISE LEVEL IS ABOUT THE SAME ALTHOUGH THE STT TENDS TO PICK UP MORE STONES GIVING YOU THAT CLICK-CLICK NOISE REGULAR AWAY. THE KM2 HAS THE EDGE IN PROPER MUD AND ALSO GRIPS BETTER ON WET ROADS THEY SEEM TO WEAR THE SAME AND YOU NEED TO SHOP AROUND FOR KM2,S AS THERE ARE SOME SILLY EXPENSIVE PRICES OUT THERE , I PAID £100 A TYRE FOR KM2 (265/75X16) AND STT,S WERE ABOUT THE SAME. IN MY OPINION ITS KM2 FOR JUST FOR THAT LITTLE BIT MORE GRIP IN MUD AND ON WET ROADS THE CHOICE IS YOURS THOUGH !! |

Hi guys, i bought 8 bfgs from john craddocks, i rang the mail order line and bartered the sales guy, he had to ring me back but i was just persistant.... if you dont ask you dont get ! your right though a lot of places charge stupid money for bfg, thats why i originally ran stt,s and i got them from tyrespec.co.uk because i couldnt find bfg,s cheap enough.
