I think it was Goodyear Wranglers fitted to the Bond Defenders ~ no idea of the tyre size.

Greetings Peter from sunny Sydney.. according to the Aussie specs, in the HSE guise only the P400 is available, the alternatives are the base 110 with the D200, D240, or the S, SE model, First Edition, they come with the D240 option, weird that you cannot get the P400 in the FE, but can on the S, SE & HSE https://www.landrover.com.au/Images/20MY_D...742546.pdf The dealers advised me that the 19" off road tyres (i have spec'd 19" with the P400) should be shoed with Goodyear wranglers, but neither they or LRA can give me definitive details on them, such as size, speed and load ratings. Only 2 months since i asked, LRA at their finest.. Enquired of Compomotive in regard to whether they will bring an 18" wheel out (or whether the PD1881 will fit a P400), they said they will be making an announcement in the near future, so a bit of a waiting game there as well. Hopefully 18's will give a better choice in terms of AT's/MTR's Cheers yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Thanks Zilch,
Very useful information, especially the link to the spec guide. Really don't understand some of the choices they made! Like the lack of engine choice on all models, NO Matrix LED h/lights below HSE, NO standard roof for HSE (Living in outback Australia I do NOT want to feel like I am in a oven every time I get in the car!!) only Panoramic. If I get a HSE ( But i'm really not keen on a petrol in outback Australia!!) I still need $12,155 worth of options to get what I would like (total $125,055)! And if I go for a SE D240 I miss out on the Matrix LEDs (My wife's Volvo has them and they are amazing!) and HUD and with options ($15620 worth) to get it to similar to HSE total would be $106,920 (D240) or $118,720 (P400). My MY13 D4 was $129500 (with options). So why did you go for a HSE and not a SE with additional options? |

I went SE Peter, i did not need the panoramic roof, i am going to fit a roof rack and
thought that a glass roof was pointless in those circumstances, passengers staring at whats on top. Also the on road prices are steeper than first mentioned, by anything from $9 to 12K.. So the SE on road was published as being 103K in the press, it was actually $119K for the P400 variant, plus then i added a few options ..much of the dora the explorer pack minus the roof rack (frontrunner are bringing one out which should be half the price) and the side bin. I have managed to get Corporate discount against the vehicle so that has brought it down to 125K on road rather than 139K + i got 5 years free servicing. In regard to petrol vs diesel. i have the 3.0 litre TDv6 Sport, so road tested the D240 D5 to get a feel of how it drove in comparison to my Sport..knowing the Deffo will be heavier, i could not live with the D240, to noisy and not smooth, struggled especially when i pointed it at some steep hills around northern Sydney, hence why i decided after years of diesel to move to a petrol. Assume your D4 is a TD or SDv6?? yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport Last edited by zilch on 13th Jan 2020 10:38pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Mine is a SDV6.
Hmm, I based my above prices on the D240 as $91,300, SE P400 being $103,100 and HSE being $112,900. Well I hope to get more than $40,000 for a private sale of the SDV6 HSE with 154,000Km on it, then! |

carsales guide around 40-44K with 110K on the clock for a SDV6 HSE D4
https://www.carsales.com.au/car-valuations/323743/sell I was looking to trade in the Rangie Sport, but the "boss" has forbidden it, her car apparently, and as it is a MY10 model i would not get much for it. The stealer said about 20-30K depending on the monthly trade in loyalty deals on offer at the time.. i reckon nearer to 15-18K if i am lucky. Luxury car tax, GST and stamp duty are the killer, the price in the press at the time did not include all the on road costs.. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

what colour are you going for and with what options.. if you remove the roof rack and side bin,
this is my build which is $125K on road https://build.landrover/0B85C8D7 also after market window tinting will give you all round protection.. Cheers Jim yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |
