I’ve used these guys based in Bicester. They have carried out new tow-ball / hitch, fitted new extra-wide wing mirrors as well as electrical work. Overall very good and reasonable labour rates:

I've used EH Douglas at Wardington Banbury for many years on my post TD5 era (Puma's) Defender's from brand new (I wouldn't let a JLR main dealer anywhere near ANY car of mine); I expect high standards which you will get from EH Douglas...what they don't know about Land Rovers isn't worth knowing. My 300TDi Wolf I take to Warmington Hill Garage just north of Banbury, they are experts on pre-TD5 Defenders & Series Land Rovers, really very nice people & Wayne the co-owner is a top bloke. Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains |

Hi thanks for that. And I agree re: JLR - had my Defender 200TDI for 4 weeks to replace two transfer box seals. When it came back it was still leaking and the box made a clunking sound because they forgot two spacers, the Diff Lock indicator wasn't working and they'd broken off the reverse light switch.
They put it all right but only after 6 weeks of grief. Thanks again Cheers Ian |
