The workshop manual gives the figures for the swivel without seal and grease which is why i think hes asking. I cant remember what it is fully built but there is a figure somewhere as ive seen it before. Pete. |

Im thinking of overhauling the swivels and cv joints on my defender this weekend.
Anyone recomend a decent brand to fit, loads of Britpart kits out there, strugling to find anything else. Famous four have some kits on there web site but no details on manufaturer. |

Without it was something like 4kgs of pull,
With it varies on the quality of the seal and the grease. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

Rave says 1.16 to 1.46kg of pull.
This is without seals and grease. |

Shows that my memory is fading faster than I thought!
I remember it being a very dirty, horrible job and taking a good while to get right. Even now I am not entirely sure it's right. 2002 Defender 110 DC |
