I haven't done a 2.2, but can confirm that the front pipe has to come off on a 2.4 so I have no doubt the same is true on the former.

Marks Landy, here you go, I wrote up my experience of changing the clutch (cos of a knackered slave cylinder) on the 2.2 with a DPF.
https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic68329.html My spigot bearing had collapsed, so had to be changed. That was the only PITA. Some come out easy, so not so. Other than that, take your time and you will be fine. I bought an engine crane to do the job. Since I didn't lift the engine to remove the pdf, I would use a gearbox trolley if I did it again rather than an engine crane. Hope this helps. Staftly |
