So I currently have this setup
 Click image to enlarge But I am wondering what’s correct for MOT. I need to change the DRL bumper to turn off with side lights as they currently go off with dipped. The big 52” Lazer is a stand alone switch, but the Lazer ST4 come on with full? Is this ok? I can easily swap the spare plain grille in. Then are the Jw speaker lights ok? I am in NI, anyone put one thru a test centre with similar? Technically, any 'auxiliary' lights should be switched with the main beam. However, if your independently switched light bar is switched off, then it won't be an MoT issue. It's one of those things that's illegal to use (on the road) rather than illegal to own.
Your DRL's should go off with the side light lights. I wish more were as conscientious as you about them though, as there seem to be plenty of cars running around with them on all of the time, which is bloody nuisance. Driving a modern car with NO lights seems to be the 'thing'..........basically because the dash lights must be on all of the time rather than more classic cars where you sat in darkness - DRL's only
Even spotted a local Plod at around 1am New Years Eve (Day really) that was showing no lights apart from DRL!!! Feckwits |

Thanks, I think to keep it simple I will just swap the grille to remove the ST4’s, light bar is completely independent on a switch and DRL off on sides. Andy

You should be okay... reason i went with the rs8 on the a bar was i could run it off the high beam,
my triple r is on a switch tho. |

Great should be ok then,
Next question: I have removed the 3rd row seats, but seat belts are still in place. I guess I should remove these completly otherwise they may insist on testing them into a seat buckle? I'd take them out, I believe they will 'test if items are fitted' but they 'do not and cannot remove covers to access items to test'. (This may have changed somewhat though.)
As LRA mentions that is a good statement, personally I'd just remove the opertunity for them to test them if they aren't going to be used. It then stops the questions being raised, for example 'seatbelts fitted, no adequate seating'. customer advised. What ever you do, don't have slippy side steps either come MOT time.
