How bad is this. Its worse on the near side but the off side is going the same way. The drain holes were blocked which has led to this.
Is this area double skinned? I expect this is just the tip of the old iceberg! Has anyone sorted this problem and has pics? It is the lowest part of the bulkhead. The pic is of the lower front hinge. That's a hole in the lower part of the bulkhead, probably reparable with after market parts Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

Within 30cm of a body mounting so probably an MOT failure. Definitely repairable though 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Just doing mine just now. MOT time and out comes the welder....
Started out as lower part of footwell (helpfully a double panel and rust trap - thank you, Land-Rover). Also top / front of door pillar. So much easier with door and wing off (once you get them off!) As noted above, it will offend MOT tester, even if it's only cosmetic. There is a thicker plate behind it so cut with care. Happy welding. Thanks for the input guys.
Silvertoolbox, I thought it would be a doors and wings off and did wonder if it was a double skin. I have previously repaired both sides inside the cab where the door light switches are. Guess I'll move outside now. Is anyone aware are repair pieces/panels for the bulk head or is it make what you need as you go? Thanks again. Hi Mike,
Might be worth investing in new hinge and wing fixings, not dear and as yours is also getting on a bit, likely to be casualties...none of mine will go back although 50% useable. AM605061 bolt for wing rear edge AK616011 nut BYG100140L bolt for door hinge? ASR1459 nut Sets of both available on e-bay. Above Parts for 1A model year (2000-2001) Yep, courtesy light switch hole needs reducing back to original size too. Homemade repair panels, for extra "enjoyment"! Great and thanks for the info. Are there any repair panel bits or do I make them as I go?

I can see there are some bits available. I'll continue looking and go from there. Mike

I think these are the parts that would help me. Can anyone concur?
Also, am I butt welding these as they don't seem to be crimped in at all. I think I would want to tweak them in and lap weld. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-PAIR-BULKHEAD...0005.m1851 Mike Hard Top 90 TD5 2001 Ford 100e 1959 www.youtube.com/mikemakesit |
