After jump starting the 110 last night of the neighbour's car and then leaving the battery on charge for around 12 hours the 110 started fine this morning.
Does make me wonder if a new battery is in order. A bit of google power and https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/enduroline/ygd100860/ popped up. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I bought this one a few weeks ago:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=ht...2114520653 Made in Wales I believe. Fitted straight in, breathers in the right place. Clamps fit perfectly. Good price, good delivery service. (That is the seller I used.) Definitely recommended. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

Finally took my spotlights off. Cleans up the front of the Defender in my opinion. Spots are free to a good home in the FS&W section. I'd really like a new grill now ....

Picked up a pair of exmoor trim front seat retrim kits for £85 on ebay last year, tiny rip in one of them but for that price cant complain. Anyways finally got round to fitting them yesterday... well i fitted one! Takes the guy 25 mins in the vid... took me 3 hours
Click image to enlarge I do plan in time to change rear seats and door cards to match but i normally have seat protector covers on the fronts anyway. Click image to enlarge |

A few tips... dont get angry when watching how easy the guy on britpart vid does it compared to yourself remember hes a pro!
But seriously... Take your time, the material requires alot of manipulation and pulling to get it to fit over the foam correctly. Also buy a good spray adhesive to start with, dont buy crap cheap stuff like i did then have to go out and spend more on propper stuff. Only pull on the thick bits of material, the covers are quite fragile at the seams of the flimsier thinner parts. Ask for a hand from someone to help connect the plastic seam on seat backing, i found it too hard on my own and had to call reinforcements... the wife Other than that its fairly straightforward and the britpart vid is good help, the second time will be alot easier im sure... |

It's quite easy. Don't be put off. I'd never done it before but watching the "how to" is well worth it and makes it simpler. Good luck |

Thanks Clayton, was your comment on my thread that gave me the push to take them off. Needed to remove the whole a-bar to get at the rusty bolts holding the spots on but they came of easily enough with some coaxing. @Rob, glad she passed; always a sigh of relief when they pass no matter the vehicle! |
