Agree... Thumbs Up

I would have preferred a X2 solution to even up the lifting force... but all in not bad.

What the video doesn't show is the full closure method... in the 'analogue' version of
closing a bonnet (especially the older Aluminium versions) I was 'advised' to drop it closed
from about 6 inches as a firm push shut can result in an unwanted dent, now the Puma
bonnet in steel is definitely better in this respect but I still haven't 'dropped' the long standing
habit.

I like it but this is still in second place to the gas strut fix to the rear door,
(essential in any windy / inclined parking conditions IMO) SKIP

I put two on my 300TDI 110 about 15 years ago,

I had to warn the guys in the garage before they opened the bonnet as it did lift up pretty quickly. Think trebuchet..... Laughing

Best thing about it is that you wont accidently knock the current stay out of the way when you head is under it. For the Puma boys and girls add security bolts as another line of defence.

Prefer my original bonnet prop. If needed I can ignore it completely and open the bonnet all the way so it lays back against the windscreen. Thus enabling easy access to stuff at the back of the engine bay It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten

I don't trust rams, air or oil, having had RR Classic tail gate slam down on my neck in a slight breeze and narrow escapes with other makes. At least with the tried and tested method you can hear if the breeze/wind is rattling the stay and you have time to move. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

That bounce at the end of travel would drive me mad. WARNING.

That’s it locking into place. Got to lift it up again so it will lower. Prevents it blowing shut I’d imagine.

I’ve messaged them about a blue one 😆 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html

Yeah it's a nice idea for sure but that bounce would do my head in. Hopefully that one was just poorly fitted.
Also the last few jobs have involved removing the bonnet to access the rear of the bay and I'm not too sure if fitting one would make removing it a faff.

I'm hoping someone here gets one and reports back... WARNING.
