No modifications of any kind are required.
There is an internet myth that you need to fit longer studs, but you do not. All you will need is to ensure that you get a set of the correct wheel nuts for steel wheels, as they are different to those for alloys. it is an easy job - jack up, remove alloy wheel, fit steel wheel, lower jack! No costs involved other than the new wheels, tyres and nuts. |

And if you're buying new wheel nuts, I can highly recommend Wrington Engineering blackened, closed end ones:

whats the spec of the 2x wheel nuts?? i believe they are M16x1.5mm thread pitch
do they need a flat nut or tapered for the steel wheels?? |

From Series III onwards, they're M16x1.5mm and they're tapered. Darren

Hi LandRoverAnorak, those wheels look amazing.
I just phoned my local LR dealer and they are quoting £140.40 inc vat per wheel. Ouch. What size of tyres have you got on them? Is that 235/85/R16? cheers |

I fitted extended wheel studs, as the original only studs only extended half way thru' the wheel nuts, which I personally wasn't happy with. The studs are now too long. Hey Darren, I see from a previous post your wolfs are from Terrafirma..... You happy with them? Quality ok? Seems a fraction of the price of LR ones. I'm guessing at 1500kg they will be up to off-roading???

They are absolutely fine and the 1500kgs load rating is still stronger than virtually every other LR wheel. Darren

Hank, If you're still looking for closed end black nuts I've got a set of 23 I bought earlier in the year. They've done around 4000 miles to spain and back but have gone back to alloys so now surplus to requirements. Looking for £50 for them, were £69 new. 1996 300Tdi Defender 110 |

Shop around on OEM rims, there's a good reason they are rated at 2,200kg ; ask yourself the question why a pattern wheel maker down rates their's to only 68% of OEM... |

For the small additional cost of genuine which can be bought quite reasonably if you look around, I wouldn’t entertain fake wolfs - or any fake / copy wheels - the small extra cost for piece of mind is worth the tiny extra cost - plus fake wheels in an accident could be an issue with insurance unless you notify them and get cover agreed - it’s simply not worth the risk finding you are not covered and end up with a liability bill for the rest of your life or losing your home over. 2017 Range Rover L405 Vogue SE V8 Diesel #16
