TD5 passenger grab handle
I think heard a while back, that the internal door handles could be fitted to the “A” pillar to give the passenger a “grab handle” on the interior
Has anyone tried this?
The A pillar interior trim is held on with two screws, which I believe have the same spacing between screws as the internal door pull handle??

Trust Grafty Thumbs Up

So, has anyone come up with anything that would be similar to the grab handle that’s in a Puma , that’s in front of the passenger?? 👍 My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

I doubt it. The beauty of the mod is that it's simple and cheap using an off the shelf part.

As far as I know, that particular detail design hasn't changed since 1983. Darren

The only thing is that the door pull handles have got flat bases, whereas the a pillar trim is curved You could file the curve into them or buy a set of aluminium ones that has the correct contour. There's plenty on the bay of thieves. Thumbs Up

I'm not sure I'd want to rely on a handle held on with 2 no. 6 self tappers !

I can understand fitting one to a tdci, but on a Td5 there is already a grab handle on the end of the dash.

Mo

I fitted mine with some slightly larger machine screws and they're quite secure. Darren
