nearly had it 2 years now, progress is super slow, but it's definitely changing! Now the winter has set in, it will sit un touched until spring next year now!

just a quick update of my slow burning project.
Most of the paintwork is done now, just door tops and seatbox to do! I think it looks way better in DPG than the matt military colour it came with! next on the agenda is cleaning/painting/fixing/replacing the many many bits and pieces that have come of it! I still don't see this being finished this year! anyhoo here's the latest before and after! Click image to enlarge My 109 thread my youtube channel |

Now you've gone and hurt my feelings Blackwolf - why stop at SIII? This full hard top was built in Feb '83 while the last of the 109's were still being built. Click image to enlarge It may have coil springs but is still a thing of beauty IMO. |

I'll give you that, it is a thing of beauty, but to my eye the series galvanised windscreen and roofline, the lack of flares, and the recessed front end give the leafers better proportions. Most of the later colours were a bit naff as well.
Some of the appeal may be nostalgia because the leafers were what I grew up around. Your 110 is a gem, it must be said. |

The LWB Land Rovers are so practical as well, apart from the MOD and contractors they tended to be overlooked by enthusiasts, although I have tended to see that change over the last few years especially with Series Ones which seem to have quite a following these days
P.S. that’s very nice Slidey, looks very unmolested. |
