Thought it better to add to the original post than start a new one. Although I think it went off topic from the very beginning. One thing that comes to mind though, is that it's not bad to revisit some of the older threads, and if the OP is still around possibly get an update on how things turned out/what happened next. |

Hi Supacat, no idea what the original question was now but I sold the boat when it developed a hole from rusting, blowing steel ballast! (Rust again ). I bought a SAAB Sonnet and 96 V4 with the money (still have SAAB 96) and sold the Defender for a dream yacht and cruised along the south coast for a couple of seasons. Sold yacht and got my money back from the loss I made on the new Defender. Started a rust prevention business, the rest is documented on another thread
