Hi Ken,,,,, I went for the Bowler sticks ,, Excellent
You will see i modified the gear stick and "turned" it round, now works for me better with the MS cubby box and does not foul the front din compartment flap, The stick now "falls to hand" much better Don't have the quickshift, but the gear selection is better that with the std sticks, Click image to enlarge Would i change again with hindsight YES California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

I know it's all down to personal taste but that Bowler gear lever does nothing for me (except save me a lot of money by not buying one). Defender 90XS SW

It is certainly an ugly piece of metal.

I agree,
It's an awful looking piece of kit, would maybe suit a race going bowler with a roll cage and striped out interior... Not for my everyday car though so money saved. I do like the polished alloy normal shifter which you could add a quick shift to. However even this in the cold, it can get very cold.... |

Is the Bowler shift actually connected in a different way or just a cosmetic upper arm modification?

Can be either Supacat... Both of mine have Bowler Stick attached to quick action gear change conversions (most likely bought in by Bowler)

I have the Bowler gear levers with the slickshift. Makes for very satisfying gear changes!
