As mentioned on the previous topic http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic7361.html we were thinking about trying to organize a club stand at the event. It would be a great way to advertise the forum and let people know there is a forum for never Defenders. After some communication between the organizers, I have found out that the stand for the club would be FREE but you would have to pay for the camping pitch behind the stand. Below are the prices;
At the moment I am trying to gauge interest from forum members so if you are interested could you sign up at the top of the page Thanks Jack Last edited by Landie Boy on 7th Sep 2011 4:58pm. Edited 7 times in total |

I won't be camping as the Mrs no worries does not do tents ! so looks like the Premier Inn in Abingdon for me i will get an early on line booking in and get one of Lennys cheap weekend deals. Its within crawling distance.

It would be a good attraction to a stand Me and my dad will be camping the whole weekend, so it would be nice to find someone who could do the same.. I will find out the times vehicles are allowed to move around the site, ie latest arrival time in the morning... I think I dearly a minimum of 3 vehicles each day would be enough to warrant it. A banner of some sort would be good Jack |

Or another option is we only do the club stand for one day and then have the other day to do the off road course/ look round. This could allow us to get more people on the stand.

You can leave the stand to do the off-road course and then park back up. John

I have had a reply from the organisers, 9am would be the latest arrival time if you didn't camp. You can arrive on Friday evening if you are camping but this could be inconvenient with work commitments. Saturday morning meetup and role in together?

Here's the form we have to fill in, I have highlighted the key areas on it. I will put my details down for the Defender2 rep, if no one has any problems with it?
