I have just bought my first Defender and am looking to upgrade the head unit to a Alpine Halo 9, does anyone have any reviews on this unit?

Which defender have you got? I thought by the look of the head unit it would cover up the buttons on the dash so might end up being a pain. Ray

I've got a 2013 110 hardtop, if you do a double din conversion then no buttons are covered.

But the halo 9 is only single din unit so how would you fit that in a double din slot? Ray

Looks like they’ve use a single din pocket below, but as I thought it covers lots of switches. I think I’d get too annoyed with it myself. Ray

Has anyone fitted this with the standard single din fascia and is it possible? Can’t find a decent new fascia so would only be buying this to retain the LR plastics

I have the Halo 9 in the standard dashboard in my 110 utility. It's not too obtrusive.
You can adjust the hight and angle so you can access the buttons. I installed the slickshift so I don't keep hitting it when I change gears. In my pickup I have the pioneer sph-evo62dab-uni, but it has no angle adjustment. I just tried taking some photos but it's a bit dark I'll post some pictures tomorrow. |

That would be brilliant thanks! Is there good adjustment upwards and down? Happy with it?
