I can't help with an exact price but I can say that the generally accepted wisdom is that specific modifications add very little to the value of the base vehicle (and in some cases can devalue it!). It would be unrealistic to expect to recoup the value of even relatively new mods and in many ways it's better to return to standard and sell separately, depending on how involved that might be. thanks, that does seem to be the prevailing opinion to remove the mods and sell separately.

I think those arches may have devalued it a bit. To remove them would require replacement wings and rear tub (if the bodywork has been cut to fit).
I would estimate somewhere around £18-19,000 + VAT 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

The modifications will have devalued it in my opinion. Others out there may appreciate them more. Also, don't forget that as more councils implement anti diesel measures, the market is shrinking for our lovely Defenders.

unfortunately for most the wheels and arches (mainly the arches) will have devalued it, however if you advertise it widely with lots of photos so people can see what has been done, highlighting that it is clean and undamaged underneath (as it looks a bit like an off-roader) you will find someone who likes that look.
Now is probably a good time to sell defenders with all the floods and snow on the way and the new Def being something completely different to the old ones. You say family, could you not add some windows and seats in the back to increase family capacity? DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I have sold a couple of modified defenders in the last couple of yrs and found that the Engine and intercooler mods are an easy sell the wheel arches and snorkel etc are more specific and you narrow down the market for the car. Given it is more expensive to change these for sale than the likely cost benefit I would just give a detailed spec of the works and use autotrader and eBay - Ebay sold both mine and was significantly better than autotrader which surprised me. It comes down to how quickly you want to sell - there will be someone who wants that spec or close to it but it could take 3-4 months or more to sell or reduce the price so it looks like good value. Price is difficult to say but mid twenties should be achievable as the base vehicle is good. The roof tent, rack etc could give better value sold separately. Good luck

thanks for the feedback, and yes i agree, a couple fo offers in mid 20's bears out your thinking, the expedition tent and awning are too specific, so will strip these and sell separately.
