But it's just my feeling that every time I see the photos of the new Defender it always gives me the idea that it's "plasticky", it always seems like a prototype. Something unfinished......
Especially the front. But also the back, a little... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

Agree, it looks like it’s been living on a (too) high protein powders diet. Like some at certain fitness clubs.
But I believe what we see still are very much preproduction models, and JLR are still working on final production trim. At least I hope so. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

regarding the plastic vs not, i'd hold out on your opinions until you see it your self. from all the people who've seen it in person, there's many things to note: - some/most/ or all defenders being shown are pre-production or prototypes that do not equal final production state. - it's split between very plasticky and very good materials and not plasticky at all. - some vehicles have trim/parts missing. IE: engine cover. - some vehicles scratch very easily. with that said, the first point should basically says it's a display car, not final production, things are to change. |
