Thanks for the comments, food for thought. When I wrote the advert, in June, I obviously wasn’t aware of the issues that caused it to fail the MOT hence ‘good overall condition’. The asking price in the original advert isn’t what I’d expect to get for it now. I might well consider a new chassis as I agree the issues will probably be ongoing, but then I’ll definitely be keeping it!

For anyone who is interested the absolute minimum I would take is £4000, otherwise I’ll replace the chassis and get the other jobs done next year.
