Some nice RRC there, I'd be tempted. I can't imagine them going for much but guess I'll be surprised. James

What an amazing collection of old vehicles! I have spent some time looking at the detailed photographs behind some of the more interesting lot numbers.
The Jensen looks in great condition externally but the inside would need a bit of work. I checked the DVLA MOT history and it shows that the car was last tested in March 2006 and the mileage has not changed since. The Cortinas look well rusted - especially the Mk 2 which has also had its engine removed. I don’t think either is the Lotus version but the Mk 1 has a GT badge. It will be very interesting to see how much they all go for - I just hope not too many of them end up on the scrap heap. 2005 Defender 90 TD5 |

A really eclectic mix of vehicles. I can't really understand what possesses someone to fill barn after barn with cars like this and do nothing to prep them for storage. Plenty of classic RRs in there, what horrors lurk beneath I wonder! My favourite is the Lancia, just very pretty.

There is a front page article about this auction in this week’s Classic Car Weekly. It says that they think ‘the gentleman who owned them all was in the motor trade’. It’s not clear why he was storing them in that way.
Apparently only one of the cars is a runner (a Porsche) and none of them comes with any registration documentation. Some have no keys. Some great projects there for someone with the time and money to take them on . . . . 2005 Defender 90 TD5 |
