Series reversing lights

Hi all

I watched an old wheeler dealers the other night, the one with the yellow stage 1 V8 and it got me thinking, were these type/style of reversing lights only fitted to the series vehicles, if so, where can i get hold of them please

Yes, to your first question but no idea where you'd get one now. They were probably a generic Lucas item or similar but I doubt they've been fitted to anything new since the early 80's. Darren

Yes they do look like them if they are the same diameter as they are in Darren's pic, was not to sure they were as they can be used for the front side lights as well

No, they're quite different from standard front sidelights. Darren

So George's link to the reversing light is the L691 and when i was looking on google for lucas reversing lights, it said that they can be used for side lights as well, so i am assuming that would be for another vehicle then

I think L691 is a series (no pun intended

) of lights rather than a model number

It's entirely possible that they served as front side lights on other vehicles (it's only a different bulb, after all) but not on Land Rovers. Darren
