I think that exact spec was the start of Defender’s popularity with the ‘general’ public.

Yes, the colour coded arches and roof and the smart alloys seemed to transform it. That one looks great, lucky daughter!

My daughter is 25 and does not have a full licence. She is currently taking lessons. The insurance quotes she has now are cheaper than if she had a full licence owing to the fact she will be accompanied. When she gets her full licence she will get a discount if she gets a track app or black box. Don't know what these are.

I have not even seen it yet!!!! I will arrange to get it transported over.
The seller did ask me to sell it back to him if it was being sold again. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I guess we're all just temporary custodians. I really hope my kids want to take them on when the time comes. After all that was my justification for getting 3 Embarassed Whistle James

She is our first born daughter, named Chloe. Our second daughter is two and a half years younger and has special needs. From the moment our second daughter was born Chloe was always there for her. I just explained why our second daughter needed extra care and attention. For years the routine was ,home from work, dinner, do the dishes then it was television off, phone off the hook and door locked. Then we would work with my daughter with no distractions.Chloe took part in years of exercises and development work with our youngest daughter with me. Even now Chloe's boyfriend knows that he is getting two women and not one! If there is a proposal of marriage for Chloe it will be accepted with proviso that if anything happens to my wife and I that her sister moves in.
So the 90 is a small price to pay. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I agree with the above Spudfan. Bow down
I had great fun driving my 200tdi after passing my test (and still do), so I have no doubt your daughter will do the same. Thumbs Up BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Always amuses me that you can get 'T' plated 300tdis. My 1999 TD5 is on an S reg.

Funnily enough, it's also red, and the lacquer on the roof has gone too Laughing

Defender is in her blood. We had a turbo 90 when she was born. When our second daughter was born she could not sit sideways on a rear bench in the 90 because she would have broken her neck when I braked. Thus the 200 tdi 110 with the middle facing seats came along. It was actually a four year old 110 pickup which we bought and had converted into a 9 seat station wagon. Now my eldest daughter will get to sit in the front of her own 90 and not in the middle row of a tdi or Puma. When I get it over and checked out and a serviced I'll try to get a picture of her and the 90. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
