Mud deep A pillar trims
Saw these on FB pop up: https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/mud-a-pillar-tr...HFh8ZpYbJ8

Has anyone tried these?
They say 20mm extra but real world views are much better.
I canโ€™t make my mind up if theyโ€™d benefit for cabling or not. No Guts, No Glory.

I have them, as I always struggled to get cabling into the standard ones.

As my car was a basic spec 1994 model, I've had to add lots of stuff myself, so the likes of a CB antenna, hands free phone mic; dashcam power; auxiliary rear light; speaker cabling etc etc.

I'm quite happy with them - once they're on, you really don't notice that they're not standard. Donald

Thumbs Up
I'm very tempted to give them a go as I know the factory ones are tight behind there already and I need to add a bit more.

On a side note, is the MSS glove box Mud sells the best one? If so, I may as well go for that too. Whistle No Guts, No Glory.

I have the Mud A pillar trims and they are excellent
I have a lot of extra wires for - rear speakers, microphone, positive feeds from the battery - probably about 8 to 10 extra each side
With the extra capacity of the Mud trims they fit easily - no more pinched wires for a flattened rear wash hose
They also look standard
I would highly recommend them Thumbs Up

I wonder if the lower ends reach behind the dash as the original ones do?
Can you see the cables in these corners? I can't make it out in MUD's photos.

I bought them. Will see how it goes.
Perfect timing for me to spot these.

Going by the interest in these I imagine theyโ€™ve had a few orders from here alone. Laughing No Guts, No Glory.

Fitted mine the other day, very pleased with them.
They took all the extra wiring fitted behind them which the factoryโ€™s ones would not have done any where near.

As has been mentioned, once on youโ€™d not notice the difference, exactly the point in them and hid all of my cables even a 6mm physical dia feed. Plus others as well. Keeps everything much neater and tidy.

Hopefully maybe of interest to others so you can have a proper gander at them. Thumbs Up No Guts, No Glory.

I always find that the pinch point is the area around the screw fittings on the standard Land Rover one's. Do this replacements have the same problem? Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,

Seems a good solution. My wiring has decent space under the standard fitting. What extra stuff are you running through there? WARNING.

You have to be careful still you donโ€™t trap the wiring behind there.
But there is lots of wiring room down the side of the fixing which makes it much easier too put back safely and securely.

There definitely is about the room estimated that they quoted. Iโ€™ve got a 6mm video cable behind one and factory wiring plus multiple 1mm2 twin feeds too around 4mm x 2mm.

Drivers side is tightest due to factory wiring but they fitted everything I wanted.

So in essence as they say, if your new additional wiring is up to 20mm deep then it will be suitable.

Unfortunately I didnโ€™t get a photo of the rear but they are exactly the same as factory only deeper.
They are easier to re-install and keep the wiring or tubing away from the screw too. No Guts, No Glory.
