Got a clank on my 90,000 mile 2011 110. When its warm there is a metallic clank as I take up drive in the higher gears. Tends to do it if I slow down and then speed up too. Doesn't always do it but seems to be getting worse. I noticed with the handbrake off the rear prop is rock solid but the front one I can turn quite a bit, but it doesn't move up and down. It seems to come from the gearbox area/front of vehicle.
Any ideas? The clutch feels normal and there is no noise or anything in normal running. Could it just be bad drive line slop? 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Totally lost drive today. Nothing even in diff lock. Guess it's either blown clutch or maybe layshaft?
I reckon my bank balance is about to take a dent anyway. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Gearbox output adaptor shaft. Common (very, very common) problem, but cheaper by far than a layshaft.

Is that the bit between the gearbox and transfer box? I noticed at tickover there is a sort of grinding noise so wondered if it was clutch or somewhere at the front of the gearbox.
It is getting recovered to e h Douglas today so hopefully next week they will give me some ideas. To top it all I've got issues with my IIA! So not a very good day overall. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Well they agree with you. We have decided to fit an updated shaft from Ashcroft. Hopefully will be back with me late next week. 2011 110 USW
