Hi,
Thought I would introduce myself and say hello. I'm shortly to be the proud owner of a Defender SVX station wagon, following many happy years with my 90 50th Anniversary (which I notice that Baz kindly sent a link to when it was up for sale - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic979.html ). This forum was recommended by the owner of GB305 on the Defender 50th site, and I already know there are a couple of 50th or ex-50th owners that use this forum - Ads90 and Baz for starters. This follows a long line of Land Rovers - this will be the 9th I've had over the years (1xSeries 3, 1xDefender 110 and this will be the 7th Defender 90 I've had.) - so I really know what I'm getting myself into (again!). I have actually had some experience with a Puma back in 2007 - I used a 110 through work for a few months, so I'm really looking forward to getting my mitts on the SVX. Anyway, I'll sign off for now and I'll post some pics up when I get it - hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Cheers, Greg Currently: 2013 90 2.2 Puma Base Station Wagon 1991 90 Tdi 2015 Discovery Sport 2.2 |

Hi Pumagreg,
Welcome. You made your mind up to sell your 50th then! Daz110 or GB305 on the defender 50th forum. |

Thanks Guys.
The main driver was to reduce our car count. The 50th was in lovely condition, and only ever used now and again, but I just felt it'd start to deteriorate if I was to use it everyday. I did toy with getting it LPG converted, but I've taken the plunge instead! In fact, when I started looking at changing the 50th, it was for a base Puma 90 Station Wagon (Plain paint, steels and no AC) but, as ever, when you look at buying something, your wish list grows and grows. Anyway, I'm quite happy with the deal I've struck on the SVX in the end. Looking forward to the car - and the forum chat… Greg Currently: 2013 90 2.2 Puma Base Station Wagon 1991 90 Tdi 2015 Discovery Sport 2.2 |

Hi Guys
I've finally got around to posting up some pics of my new ride. I've had the SVX for just over a week now and I've over the moon with it. Coming out of a Defender 50th Anniversary, I miss the V8 rumble, but I've done 300 miles now and have still to put any fuel in - I'm not used to going past petrol stations and NOT having to stop! It clips along really well, although I'm still taking it steady whist I'm running it in. The seats are exceptionally comfortable and air con's really effective! Our 2 year old also loves sitting in the back, and has christened it 'Daddy's tractor'. It's plaque number 055 of the 60 SVX station wagons made: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Cheers Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Greg Currently: 2013 90 2.2 Puma Base Station Wagon 1991 90 Tdi 2015 Discovery Sport 2.2 |
