Welcome to the world of defender ownership, sometimes expensive, sometimes frustrating but always good fun
First mods probably everyone here would recommend is security security security. Reference undersealing, Dinitrol is an excellent product, waxoyl is very old fashioned now. Hi fella, nice motor
I would recommend you buy a removerable boss from optimill for security sadly. Our defenders are going missing left right and centre. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Welcome to D2N Looks a lovely original example and it seems you have a good list already. Is security at the top?
Our Puma is my wifes daily drive and the only way I could justify buying one. 4 years on this forum and we now have three Defenders! Be warned!! PS don't show your wife Andy's (MCMA1) build threads or it will cost you even more!! Some of the best work on here! Thanks for the comments. Yes security is top of the list, but I just need to figure out what would work best for our circumstances. I'll do a bit of research, but I kinda like the standard steering wheel, so not sure if a wheel-lock or removable boss will work with standard wheel.
I spoke to Belfast Land Rover Centre (BLRC) about getting anti-corrosion treatment done but they have a 1 year+ waiting list apparently. Thanks for the heads-up on DF Engineering - looks like he knows what he's at, I'll give him a call tomorrow. |

Appreciate that, I'll keep an eye out for your white 110. It's funny how many defenders you notice on the road a lot more when you have actually bought one! |
