Guys, whatever you do do not throw out any boxes, packaging or instructions/paperwork from your LEGO Defenders. LEGO made a model of the biggest ship in the fleet (the biggest containership in the world 5 years ago) owned by my Danish employer - cost was almost the same as the Defender model and 5 years later that model is no longer made by Lego. Boxed, complete models, if opened are now worth 4 x times what was paid, unopened kits are worth 10 times more going on prices on a well known auction website....... so take care of the packaging once you have opened it! Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

There also appears to be a remote controlled option... Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

United Kingdom 2001 Defender 90 Td5 Tomb Raider LE Bonatti Grey
I can confirm - a very good build - took me a few evenings but beautifully put together and some real intricate detail.

Door gaps and dodgy back door are as authentic as on my 90! Defender 90 - Tomb Raider LE
Discovery 5 HSE - yes, even despite the ugly backend.
Range Rover 4.2SC - Gone and still being missed

Nice build review here:

https://inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyle/cars/l...ew-1320875

"The guts of that gearbox form the first 100-plus of the near-900 stages of the build and set the tone for what is a pretty complex build. Using a seemingly random collection of cogs, rods and funny knobbly things, you eventually end up with a working four-speed sequential gearbox which, once it’s mated to the front section even features low and high-range modes and forward and reverse gears.

And unlike sets where the mechanicals get buried under the bodywork, here even once it’s finished you can tilt the rear seats forward to watch the ‘box in operation."

My 6 year old great nephew is a fanatical LEGO Technics model maker And a Land Rover fanatic and has been pestering me to get one for him, I’m sure he could build it without assistance but looking at what you guys have done so far I would think he might get bored/ impatient to finish so many component sub-builds....... he also knows I have an unopened box in the house.... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

That is outstanding detail. What a job that would be, creating these models. I have not bought, let alone built a set of Lego in 35 years, but it looks like it’s time to rebalance that record!!

About the same era as I last made a Tamiya model and/or RC model. Loved Tamiya quality.
