2017 fordranger
Hi All,
As some may know i now have a 2017 ford ranger wildtrak top of the range with some mods on it to make it more Raptor looking,
Hopefully with alot of snow coming our way this year,
I have the option from a button for 4HI and 4L, standered is 2wd rear drive,
For driving in snowy conditions would you use 4Hi??....
im only asking this because if u turn on full lock in 4Hi it causes transmission windup or will that not happan if its on something slippery like snow?

4 high should just provide drive to both axles without locking and drivetrain, I used to have an older model and the manual stated to use 4 high when towing. The owners manual should state when the different options should be used. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

I have had a few Rangers over the last few yrs (currently running the new 2.0 twin turbo which I am very impressed with)

Off road I work on the premise that if I can feel it winding up (skipping) it doesn’t need to be in 4WD
Ie on mud or snow you won’t feel it winding up when cornering
