Fuel filter faff
Hi guys, looking for some wise words.
I ordered a Puma 2.2 service kit from Dan a month or two ago, cracking service at the time.
Oils and air filter done and dusted, however -
Had the new fuel filter full of fuel ready to go on, took the old one off and saw they were different, as below.
I think Dan has accidentally sent me a WJI500030 instead of WJI500040, so for a L332 3.6L V8.
I didn’t really know what to do so drained the water (and slightly browny looking liquid) out of the old filter, I didn’t turn it upside down but did move it from side to side -
Question - is it going to be OK to use this filter for a few days until I can get a new filter, or best to not start it?
I don’t know if taking it off, draining it etc could have shaken some crud through the filter or if I’m just being a drama queen.

Dan tried calling earlier but guess you close early ish Saturday, will try in the week.
Cheers,
Matt

Thats what I have in my 2.2, a lot cheaper than the Genuine filter.

Did that come from Duckworth in a Land Rover branded box?

If you still have it, check the part number on the box the new filter came in - it might be the wrong filter in the right box. It does happen Sad

Either way Dan will sort you out Thumbs Up

Shouldn't be a problem to refit the old filter for a couple of days.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Not sure what the spec should be, but a 2 micron filter sounds better than a 5 micron one.
