Ordered 110 first edition. Told spring delivery. Really fancied the 90 but orders not being taken for 90’s yet. Would seriously consider the 90 commercial when it’s available.

That doesn't sound very encouraging.

Ordered a 110 HSE in green.
I didn’t go with the first edition or X since the HSE option for the build gave me way more ways to configure the Defender the way I wanted it. Price was $96,600 Canadian. March delivery estimate. Click image to enlarge |

The more I look at this, and as others have said this should have been the replacement for the D4 rather than the fat backsided thing that they produced.

Given modern JLR tech reliability (coming from an ex-RR/RRS/Disco owner), that was exactly my feeling. I'm tired of beta testing cars for multinationals |

Knowing how fadish the JLR target market for this Def can be, young urbanite, I don't think this will see too much of a drop in its first year 'of production' as cool, hip city dwellers clamour to get their hands on one. But once the market is flooded with them (I can see quite a few being sold within months of ownership as people struggle with its size and that it doesn't handle like their previous X5, RRS or SQ7), and they've been distracted by the next must-have vehicle, I'm afraid like most cars, and I don't think JLR are any different, it will lose 1000s the moment it drives off the forecourt. I was very tempted to order one but as mentioned JLR along with others always have issues in the first year or so of new models, and with the land rovers customer service as it is i just don't want the hassle, but watching this space for the next 6/12 months 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8
