Having gone through all the hassle of ABS sensors failing and limp mode being activated it's gone and broken again This time half of the instrument pack has died, so no rev counter, engine temp registering through the roof and permanent limp mode (for the vehicle) bloody thing nearly killed me mid overtake on Sunday night with kids in the car. I moaned at LR Assist and they have sent me a TDV8 Vogue, hoping it will take forever to repair my 90 now
So far I have had the following. Instrument pack caused ECU to go to limp mode x 2 July and now. ABS sensor. Loose nuts and bolts on propshaft. Front heated screen light comes on for 2 seconds then turns off. Why do we like them so much? 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux Audi A4 Avant 3.0L TDI Quattro - WOW 2016 90 Adventure |

They offered me a FL2 for immediate delivery, or a FFRR for the following AM, well being a decent sort of chap I didnt want them to rush, so opted for the AM delivery of the FFRR
My real thinking was the more LRA are paying in hire charges the sooner I get my 90 back on the road, but when I drove the FFRR V8 I changed my mind, and hope they cant fix it soon MY local LR Stealer can't even look at it until next Tuesday so I will have it I would guess until at least next Thursday, assuming the parts are available 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux Audi A4 Avant 3.0L TDI Quattro - WOW 2016 90 Adventure |

As nice as the TDV8 Vogue FFRR is it is not what I want, I bought my Defender for a purpose and am disgusted with the shoddy build quality. The noisy diff was apparant as soon as I collected it, as were a host of other niggling issues. The dealer have been pretty indifferent about it and are not returning my calls promptly nor can they give me any indication when I can expect to receive the car back and repaired.
I am seriously thinking about rejecting it and demanding a replacement but don't know my legal position. Andy |

I agree CFB, the FFRR is a blast, but I bought my 90 for work, the RR is now filthy inside as I have had a number of site visits and Enterprise cut costs by not having the mats!
I also forgot to mention that my 90 has a water leak that runs from the top of the drive train tunnel onthe passenger side and fills the rubber mat on the passenger side. LR claim that replacing the doorseals will cure the problem, they are so wrong, but it will be another arrow to my bow. I have also considered the R word, as I have a "living document" that is growing by the week. The trouble is that I have fitted so much to it, RAI, winch and bumper, remote cut off switch, winch control buttons on side of grill and a pair built into cubby box, de-cat, big intercooler, all round Old Man Emus and Xenons. I must have forgotten / missed bits, but you get my drift! 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux Audi A4 Avant 3.0L TDI Quattro - WOW 2016 90 Adventure |
