I bought one of the Bearmach fridges, just the 32ltr, think I paid £270 for it. Just returned from 3 weeks in the Pyrenees and it performed well, I don't have anything else to compare it to as its the first fridge of its type I have owned. But it did exactly what I wanted it to do, if not a little better. It was quieter that I expected - we sleep in the back of the 110 when wild camping and didn't disturbed us much at all. In terms of power consumption, nothing technical, but connected to an oldish 110ah leisure battery the longest it ran without any charge from split charge was 36 hrs and it still had over 12v after this time....... so a very nontechnical and low detail review - my milk stayed fresh = pretty good for the money.

ours is fine been in active use more than we thought as its smaller size + less weight means the missus like it.
no issues so far. if you want to look at it blue im past your place regular ill throw it in the motor and let you have a look at how its built |

Apologise for those waiting a reply I've missed this thread.
The fridge is fab, been used for a few long weekends and It's easy to set with fairly easy to set controls and keeps stuff lovely and cold, Power consumption is low and when camping we use a leisure battery with a 50watt panel for the fridge and tent lights and it's fine. When we pack up to go the fridge goes in the truck the afternoon before and it'll run of the main battery overnight before departure with no hassle. Whilst it won't go as low in the temp settings as a CFX it's only because dometic don't won't it to compete as it's much cheaper. Cheers Mdm, but I already made a purchase, due to lack of independent of the Bearmach one and au couldn’t wait. I ended up with a used ARB which has been great. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I'm really happy with my Bearmach 40l fridge, keeps things nicely cooled and the battery lasts a couple of days with it on. I've also had it on the mains hook up and it works quite happily, saving the battery.

Thanks for the updates chaps. I went for an Engel in the end as I quite fancied the metal exterior.
Got the combi where you can have part fridge and part freezer - MD45F-CD-P Hopefully will last as long as the others who posted on here Oh and it has the low battery voltage cut-off feature which older Engels do not seem to have. |

Just a heads up for those with bearmach fridges, the transit bags for these are in the bearmach sale at the moment. At £15, it was too good an offer to miss.

Anyone know if you can disable the inputvoltage protection?

Not aware of a way, just the ability to change sensitivity, on low I think it cuts out around 10.2v and the back in at 11.2v Unless it's different with a marine battery generally don't want to go too low to avoid risk damage to the battery. |
