[SOLD] 'Refurbished' Mantec Plastic Snorkel
This is the traditional looking plastic snorkel, as fitted to G4 vehicles amongst others. It will fit 300tdi, TD5 and Puma vehicles.

I bought the basic snorkel very cheaply on here a few weeks ago, to which I've added a new stainless grill to the mushroom top, blackend stainless jubilee clips and a new fitting kit, with the intention of fitting it to my own 110. I've also made a new windscreen bracket out of stainless angle, which is drilled to fit to the snorkel body only as I planned to use Sikaflex to stick it to the windscreen frame. I've even painted it to match! However, I've discovered a compatibility problem with something else that I planned to fit so it's no longer of use to me Rolling Eyes

With all of that in mind, I'd like £85 for the complete kit as shown. For any other vehicle, this includes everything required to bolt it straight on. Fitting instructions are available to download from the Mantec website.

It can be collected from Deepcut, Surrey or I can post for an additional £8.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Joseph,

The part with four vanes is fitted into the top of the tube and then the mushroom top fits over it. I don't recognise the other bit, I'm afraid.

You can find a copy of the fitting instructions here, in case that helps:

Hi!
thanks. i was guessing it fits in the tube on the elbowed side but is a loose fit. do you know if it has to be clipped or secured with something? the C ring was in the mushroom when i got it. i thought it was a shim between mushroom and tube but it is too tick for that.

thanks for the manual!

have a good day.

Once slotted into the top of the tube, the vaned part is held in place by the mushroom top. Darren

Darren - sorry to resurrect a very old for sale post, but rather than start a new thread I thought I'd recycle this one.

Could you (or anyone else) tell me where you found the stainless grille?

I've been looking everywhere and can't seem to find one. I'm an inch from drawing it up and having it laser cut.

I think it came as part of the new fitting kit. I haven't got a record of buying it separately from the rest of the kit, which was only about £19 from Mantec at the time. I don't know whether they're still available, though. Darren

Thank you very much.

Its due for delivery today so I'll have a check to see if anything else is missing and then I'll give the people running the mantec site a call.
