I think if the SWB/90 version of it ends up looking like that Instagram impression there will be some vey long waiting lists but only if the price is also sub £40k for one line that, any higher and i think JLR will struggle to shift them. If I could have a 90 Stationwagon that looked like that and priced at less than £50k I would place an order on launch day. I’m sure in best JLR tradition the ultra-high spec versions that make the most profit for them will be the first ones delivered to owners and those ordering a plain-Jane few /no options base model will not see a car in the 12 months of production, as has happened with all the more recent new JLR products. 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

That SWB looks quite nice to me. Quite suits the old defender sticker up the side of it. -------------------------------

Just got back from a long day at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials. JLR had the Tusk Defender on their stand, unfortunately it was roped off and well off the ground so couldn't get a decent look, well no better than the photos we've all seen in the last few weeks. The countdown clock on the front of the stand confirmed it was only 3 days and 19 minutes to the official launch.

Picked up a full set for each side of my ‘96 Country HT last year for £35 a side as the originals on my 90 have faded - so they are still available from Amazon and eBay! So it looks like 3rd row passengers will be faced with small windows and large solid panels, then? Darren

Well, Gerry got what he wanted all along - a rehashed version of the DC100. --

A whole different feel than the rather underwhelming 007 spy shots...looks rather splendid. Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains
